Islington Town Hall is the home of Say I do in Islington and the City of London. The Town Hall, on fashionable Upper Street, is home to the registration service and our ceremony rooms. This impressive, listed building, with its grand façade and sweeping marble staircase, provides an elegant setting for ceremonies, and an impressive backdrop for photographs.

If you like the idea of assisting couples and their guests during their marriage or civil partnership ceremonies this could be your chance to join a great team of sessional staff. We are looking for ceremony ushers to join us and play an important and exciting role in the lives of our couples and making a lasting contribution to their life defining moments. You will be responsible for assisting couples and guests while they are here at the Town Hall. A typical day in this role may include navigating large groups of people around our building, ensuring couples requests are met, assisting those with disabilities to access the ceremony areas and working within a team of other ushers and Registrars.

Due to the nature of the work, you will be required to work mainly weekends and some bank holidays, but there will also be weekday work if that fits with your availability.

You don’t need to have any experience, but we are looking for enthusiasm and a passion to provide magical experiences for our couples. We’re looking for friendly, calm, warm, well presented people with excellent spoken English and second to none customer service skills. You will be organised, tactful and capable of thinking on your own two feet.

In return, you can look forward to a job that you will love, in a fantastic location. You will receive a competitive salary with enhanced pay at the weekend and access to a pension scheme.
