As Boroughwide Operations Manager, you will be responsible for (and deputise for) the Boroughwide Services Manager for the provision of an effective Waste Management and Cleansing Service. You will ensure the service is delivered to the standard set out in the Waste Management specification and as directed by the Operations Service Manager. It may be beneficial to have an interest in waste management even if you do not have prior experience in the field.
You will support the Boroughwide Services Manager by effectively managing front line teams in carrying out general and specialist cleansing, waste and Winter Maintenance duties, with a good understanding of the managerial and technical requirements of service delivery. You will lead the implementation of current and future service Transformation Programmes, develop and manage work programmes, monitor service standards, ensure adequate resourcing and be responsible for all health and safety procedures in your area of operation.
The role requires excellent interpersonal skills to form productive, professional working relationships with a diverse range of individuals and groups. You will need to demonstrate significant experience in a similar role and be able to work flexibly due to the variety of services provided by the Boroughwide Team.
