About The Role

This is anexciting opportunity to work within Islington’s award winning* IslingtonCollaboration Action Network (I-CAN) team. I-CANprovides targeted interventions to childrenand young people aged 10-24 who are entrenched in or are at risk of becominginvolved in group based offending and youth violence.

The post holderwill ensure that the adequate level of support, assistance and provisions areput in place for such children and young people to protect them and thecommunity.

This role willinvolve working in a range of settings, such as those which areeducational, the secure estate and prisonsand estates through street based youth work. This will help the worker tomaintain a clear focus on the prevention of young people’s participation ingroup based offending activities and violence.

I-CAN is partof the same service as Islington’s Targeted Youth Support and Youth JusticeService. The latter was recently rated as Outstanding by His Majesty’sInspectorate of Probation.
