We are looking for an Estate Services Coordinator who will be responsible for managing a team of caretakers. You will oversee line management including training and development, regular supervision meetings, assessment of health and wellbeing, health and safety compliance, performance, conduct and sickness absence management, in accordance with Council policy and procedures. On your allocated patch, you will monitor and take corrective actions of services associated with estate management functions such as cleaning, waste management, grounds maintenance, communal repairs, estate improvements and resident involvement in the management of the estates. You will ensure estates are maintained at the highest possible standards of cleanliness, safety, security and appearance. You will be required to carry out caretaking, fire safety and repair inspections as directed by the Estate Services Area Manager, and work collaboratively to develop strong working relationships with other teams and partner agencies, such as refuse, repairs, new build and project teams, tenancy management, community safety and police.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of caretakers, including line management, training and development, supervision, health and wellbeing assessments, health and safety compliance, performance, conduct and sickness absence management in line with Council policy and procedures.
  • Monitor services on your estate patch and take corrective actions for estate management functions (cleaning, waste management, grounds maintenance, communal repairs, estate improvements, resident involvement).
  • Ensure estates are maintained to high standards of cleanliness, safety, security and appearance.
  • Carry out caretaking, fire safety and repair inspections as directed by the Estate Services Area Manager.
  • Collaborate with other teams and partner agencies (refuse, repairs, new build and project teams, tenancy management, community safety, police) to deliver services.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Self-motivated with good time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Good team player capable of achieving goals and supporting residents on Islington estates.
  • Willing to work weekends on a rota basis (additional enhancement paid).
