Job Summary

We are seeking Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) for our Specialist Eating Disorders Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and passionate team at Haldon Unit, a 10 bedded unit in Exeter, Devon.

Job details

Band 5 – £31,049 to £37,796 a year plus unsocial enhancements for weekends and nights. Permanent – Full-time & Part-time. Reference: C9369-26-0954-2. Location: Wonford House, Dryden Road, Exeter, EX2 5AF.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate nursing care to patients with eating disorders.
  • Support patients at mealtimes and participate in NG feeding.
  • Lead the ward as Nurse in Charge, exercising sound clinical decision making and clinical leadership.
  • Supervise junior staff and support through shift leadership.
  • Attend a newly designed eating disorder induction to expand knowledge and skills.
  • Work flexibly within a 24/7 shift rotable covering 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Qualifications – Essential

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with current registration.
  • Experience working as a Band 5 RMN.
  • Willingness to complete Trust Mandatory Courses.
  • Current UK professional registration.
