We are looking for a highly motivated and multi‑skilled Business Support Administrator to join the East Devon Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH) Community team based in Honiton and/or Exmouth. This is a full‑time post.
Responsibilities
- Answer telephones, office and reception cover.
- Type all correspondence, assessment letters, appointment and clinic letters.
- Minute team meetings using Microsoft Word.
- Update patient record system, Carenotes, choose and book.
- Triage work via Choose and Book.
- Provide administrative support to clinical staff assessing and caring for patients within the community.
Qualifications and Experience
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
- Intermediate IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Effective organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
- Experience of general office routine and filing systems.
- Experience working as part of a team, respecting confidentiality.
- Experience dealing with people in distress in a calm, compassionate manner.
- Ability to work without direct supervision and exercise initiative.
- Knowledge of diary management and appointment booking.
Desirable
- Ability to take minutes accurately.
- Experience of dealing with confidential and complex information.
- Previous NHS experience in healthcare or social care admin.
Essential Qualifications
- Business Administration Level 3/T Level qualification or equivalent experience.
- GCSE English or equivalent.
- Evidence of continuing professional and personal development.
Desirable Qualifications
- ICDL (International Computer Driving License) or equivalent.
Contract & Location
- Permanent full‑time, contracts flexible. Working pattern: full‑time with flexible options.
- Salary: £24,937 – £26,598 per annum.
- Locations: Haydon's Court, Marlpits Lane, Honiton, Devon (EX14 2DE); St. Johns Road, Exmouth, Devon (EX8 4DD).
