We are looking for a highly motivated and multi‑skilled Business Support Administrator to join the East Devon Older Persons Mental Health (OPMH) Community team based in Honiton and/or Exmouth. This is a full‑time post.

Responsibilities

  • Answer telephones, office and reception cover.
  • Type all correspondence, assessment letters, appointment and clinic letters.
  • Minute team meetings using Microsoft Word.
  • Update patient record system, Carenotes, choose and book.
  • Triage work via Choose and Book.
  • Provide administrative support to clinical staff assessing and caring for patients within the community.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Intermediate IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Effective organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Experience of general office routine and filing systems.
  • Experience working as part of a team, respecting confidentiality.
  • Experience dealing with people in distress in a calm, compassionate manner.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and exercise initiative.
  • Knowledge of diary management and appointment booking.

Desirable

  • Ability to take minutes accurately.
  • Experience of dealing with confidential and complex information.
  • Previous NHS experience in healthcare or social care admin.

Essential Qualifications

  • Business Administration Level 3/T Level qualification or equivalent experience.
  • GCSE English or equivalent.
  • Evidence of continuing professional and personal development.

Desirable Qualifications

  • ICDL (International Computer Driving License) or equivalent.

Contract & Location

  • Permanent full‑time, contracts flexible. Working pattern: full‑time with flexible options.
  • Salary: £24,937 – £26,598 per annum.
  • Locations: Haydon's Court, Marlpits Lane, Honiton, Devon (EX14 2DE); St. Johns Road, Exmouth, Devon (EX8 4DD).
