An exciting administration opportunity has arisen within Coombehaven Ward at The Cedars. The ward is a 16‑bedded Adult Acute Inpatient ward that provides recovery‑focused and compassionate care. This role will be up to 37.5 hrs per week and will provide insight into adult mental health conditions, therapies, and interventions while developing lifelong skills in managing challenging situations and diverse patients.

Main Duties:

  • Support the Ward Manager and Multi‑Disciplinary Team (MDT) with day‑to‑day administration.
  • Take minutes at MDT meetings, business meetings and ad‑hoc professional meetings.
  • Amend and update staff rotas (Health Roster).
  • Order supplies and manage petty cash.
  • Upload patient records and staff files.
  • Produce packs for patients and other administrative support tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Business Administration Level 3 / T Level qualification in Management and Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional and personal development.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • ICDL (International Computer Driving Licence) or equivalent computer competency.

Experience:

  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and work under pressure.
  • Previous experience within an administrative or secretarial team.
  • Experience of handling confidential and complex information.
  • Ability to take accurate formal and informal minutes.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Intermediate IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of administrative procedures including diary management and appointment scheduling.
  • Experience in creating electronic records and filing systems.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
