Join us to apply for the IPP Repatriation Co‑ordinator role at Islet Systems. We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate professional to join our Individual Patient Placement (IPP) Directorate at Langdon Hospital, Dawlish.

Job Summary

You will be responsible for undertaking comprehensive assessments, designing bespoke care packages and procuring services for complex and vulnerable individuals with mental health needs. You will liaise with independent providers, statutory and non‑statutory services, and people who use services and their families.

Main duties

  • Prepare and report on assessments and treatment plans for people with complex mental health needs.
  • Coordinate transitions and repatriations to home or suitable local services.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with trust standards and governance regulations.
  • Act as a champion for service users and their carers, ensuring person‑centred care.
  • Represent the Trust with external agencies, including local authorities, police, HMPPS, and other statutory bodies.
  • Provide specialist advice and support through IPP duty service and daily operational tasks.
  • Contribute to audits, research, and improvement initiatives in partnership with the team.
  • Attend safeguarding training and participate in safeguarding children to level 3 as required.

Qualifications (Essentials)

  • Professional mental health qualification (e.g. RMN, CQSW/ASW, BSc/Diploma in OT, SROT, Chartered Clinical Psychologist).
  • Educated to masters level or equivalent, with significant post‑registration experience, ideally in complex personality disorder, trauma‑informed care, community mental health or forensic services.
  • Working knowledge of legal issues (MHA 1983, child protection legislation, Ministry of Justice procedures).
  • Leadership experience at Band 6 or above and substantial experience managing a busy caseload.
  • Current UK professional registration and application of continuous professional development.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Post‑graduate qualification relevant to specialism.
  • Clinical supervision qualification.
  • Level 3 training in safeguarding children and young people.
  • Experience of CPA process and community service planning.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including producing well‑written reports.
  • Ability to plan creatively, prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
