The Data Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the successful preparation, transformation, validation, and migration of Product Development data as part of strategic business transformation initiatives, including ERP transformation and master data programmes.

Working across Product Development, Master Data, Technology, and external implementation partners, the role will be responsible for driving data quality, coordinating data activities, defining data transformation rules, managing validation cycles, and ensuring product data is complete, accurate, and aligned with future-state system requirements.

This role combines strong organisational capabilities with analytical expertise and stakeholder engagement skills, to deliver high-quality product data that enables successful business and technology change.

  • As a Data Analyst you will Product Development (PD) Data Management
  • PD Data Management
  • Own and manage the PD data accuracy and completeness improvement plan in collaboration with Product Development teams.
  • Define, track, and report data quality KPIs, identifying risks, issues, and remediation actions.
  • Manage the collection, consolidation, and population of PD data across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Drive accountability for data ownership and data quality across Product Development functions.
  • Coordinate data cleansing and enrichment activities to support transformation programmes.
  • Data Extraction & Analysis
  • Lead extraction and consolidation of PD data from multiple systemic sources and other business repositories.
  • Identify and analyse source data quality, gaps, inconsistencies, and transformation requirements.
  • Create data insights and reporting to support decision-making throughout the programme lifecycle.
  • Data Mapping & Transformation
  • Partner with Product Business Analysts to define and document data field mappings between current-state systems and future-state SAP solutions.
  • Support the design and creation of data transformation rules, working closely with Business Analysts, Product teams, and implementation partners.
  • Ensure transformation logic aligns with business requirements, governance standards, and system capabilities.
  • Stakeholder Alignment
  • Act as the primary liaison between Product Development teams and programme stakeholders regarding PD data activities.
  • Facilitate sessions to align data definitions, standards and business rules.
  • Ensure consistency of data requirements across Product Development, Master data and implementation teams.
  • Data Validation & Data Readiness
  • Lead validation of PD data throughout mock testing phases and migration rehearsals.
  • Coordinate multiple validation cycles, ensuring all defects and issues are tracked and resolved.
  • Manage data correction activities with Product Development teams.
  • Drive completion of mandatory data fields and ensure readiness for migration and deployment.
  • Develop and maintain validation plans, issue logs, and quality sign-off documentation.
  • Master Data Collaboration
  • Contribute to the development of enterprise data transformation rules alongside the Central Master Data team.
  • Review and challenge transformation logic to ensure alignment with Product Development processes and business requirements.
  • Lead business validation activities with Product Development teams following Master Data team reviews.
  • Coordinate issue resolution and sign-off activities to ensure data quality standards are achieved.

Experience

  • Experience in Data Analysis, Data Management and Data Migration roles.
  • Strong understanding of product, retail, or supply chain data structures.
  • Experience working on ERP, master data, or business transformation programmes.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation experience.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects involving business and technology teams.
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within beauty, cosmetics, retail, FMCG, or consumer goods industries.
  • Experience working with SAP implementations or large-scale ERP programmes.
  • Knowledge of Product Development processes.
  • Experience working with systems such as Product Management Lifecycles (PLM), Net Suite, SAP, or Master Data Management platforms.
  • Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
