Assisting in the day-to-day running of the Freight office by taking freight bookings, customer service & general enquiries.
Reporting to: Quay Manager / Quay Supervisor / Freight office Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Dealing with freight bookings, sales and quotes.
- Answering customer telephone enquiries & emails.
- Processing of shipping notes and creating vessel manifests.
- Working as part of a wider Steamship team and developing good working relationships with other local businesses and customers.
- Coordinating with other freight offices to support the tracking and return booking of freight.
- Keeping bookings diary up-to-date and moving freight bookings when required.
