Lunchtime Assistant - Onchan Primary School

About the role

This role is term time, which means that the gross annual salary advertised will be reduced proportionately based on the number of weeks worked during the academic year. Term time employees are contracted to work 38 weeks per year.

Please note that the full time equivalent for this position is 37 hours, so roles advertised with contracted hours less than 37 will be classed as part time. The gross annual salary advertised will be reduced based on the part time hours.

Onchan Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Lunchtime Assistant to support pupils during the lunchtime period. Working with children aged 4 to 11, you'll help create a safe, positive and enjoyable environment where pupils can confidently socialise, play and enjoy their break times.

As part of a supportive team, you'll supervise pupils throughout the lunchtime period in both the dining hall and playground, encourage positive behaviour and good manners, promote engaging play activities, and help maintain a safe environment for everyone. You'll also assist with setting up play equipment and support the smooth running of lunchtime activities, helping to make each day a positive experience for pupils.

This term-time only role offers school-friendly hours of 11:40am to 1:05pm, Monday to Friday.
