About the role

We are looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Clinical Scientist/Clinical Physiologist with a specialist interest in Echocardiography to join our Cardiorespiratory Team within Manx Care on the Isle of Man.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering and developing cardiac physiology services for the Island's population while furthering your own professional development within a supportive and innovative healthcare environment.

Working as part of our specialist Cardiorespiratory Team, you will be accountable to the Cardiorespiratory Manager and collaborate closely with experienced colleagues across the service to provide high-quality, patient-centred care.

You will support the delivery of a responsive, efficient and cost-effective diagnostic service while contributing to ongoing service improvement and development.

The post is offered at Band 7 for applicants who hold professional registration as a Clinical Scientist or Clinical Physiologist together with current British Society of Echocardiography Adult Accreditation, or an equivalent qualification.

If you are expected to achieve accreditation within six months of commencing employment, we can offer a transitional Band 6 position with support towards progression.

Applications are also welcomed from graduates of the Healthcare Scientist Training Programme.

You will provide a high-quality, accurate and quality-assured echocardiography service, ensuring diagnostic standards, service requirements and turnaround times are consistently met.
