About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, highly motivated, resourceful and experienced finance professional to join the senior management team of Manx National Heritage, the National Trust of the Isle of Man. As Head of Finance, Governance and Corporate Services, you will oversee the financial management of the organisation, registered Charity No. 603, helping to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Island's nationally significant heritage assets, collections and cultural services.
This is a unique role within a unique organisation. Manx National Heritage plays a vital role in preserving and promoting the Isle of Man's heritage for current and future generations. Effective financial leadership is essential to enabling the organisation to continue delivering its important charitable, educational and cultural objectives while ensuring value for money and long-term financial resilience.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant and an experienced, resourceful senior finance manager with a proven track record of operating successfully as a member of a senior leadership team. You will have the ability to provide insight and constructive challenge to support future strategic development, whilst ensuring financial stability and growth, and will possess a sound understanding of charity governance.
It’s important you have proven experience of leading a successful finance function, with extensive line management experience of managing qualified Finance Managers and their teams, including responsibility for end-to-end cashflow management. It would be ideal for you to have knowledge of Sage Intacct, as this was recently deployed across Manx National Heritage; however, other similar financial management software experience will be considered. We will need you to be able to demonstrate successful leadership, strategic vision, sound business acumen and the ability to adapt effectively to changing priorities.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will drive the quality of financial reporting and management across the organisation, ensuring robust financial controls, strong governance and informed decision-making.
