About the role
This is a limited‑term appointment until 31 August 2027. The role is term time, meaning the gross annual salary advertised will be reduced proportionately based on the number of weeks worked during the academic year. Term time employees are contracted to work 38 weeks per year. The full‑time equivalent for this position is 37 hours; roles advertised with contracted hours less than 37 will be classed as part‑time and the gross annual salary will be reduced accordingly.
Responsibilities
- Work under the guidance of teachers and senior staff to support teaching and learning within Key Stage 2.
- Implement agreed work, care and support programmes so that all pupils can access learning and thrive.
- Assist with classroom management, pupil well‑being and the preparation and maintenance of learning resources, both within and beyond the classroom.
- Provide support to children with neurodiverse differences and pupils for whom English is an additional language.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Eligibility for the Isle of Man Public Service, including an enhanced with barring police check (cost covered by the Government).
- No relocation package is available for this role.
