About the role

Join us as a Teacher with the Pathway for Children and Young People with Illness (PCI) Service and help ensure young people remain engaged in education when they need support the most.
Working with children and young people who are unable to access school due to complex physical or mental health needs, you'll deliver personalised learning that helps them continue to achieve and progress.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you’ll teach Science up to Level 2 alongside other subjects as required, planning and delivering bespoke lessons tailored to individual needs.
You'll work closely with schools, families and partner agencies to support positive outcomes, monitor progress, prepare students for examinations and help remove barriers to learning.
Working as part of a small, supportive team, you'll bring strong subject knowledge, creativity and adaptability, creating engaging learning opportunities that build confidence and keep young people connected to education.

- Subject to meeting eligibility criteria, you will be offered two pensions arrangements: the Teachers Superannuation scheme or the Isle of Man Government Defined Contribution (DC) arrangement.
- If you are returning to the island and have participated in the Department’s Student Loan scheme for tuition fees, the loan will be repaid by the Department upon completion of your second year working as a teacher at one of the island’s schools.
The repayment is subject to a maximum of £7,500 for a three year degree course or £10,000 for a four year degree course, and the requirements detailed in the Teacher Loan Cancellation Policy.
