The Isle of Man Government’s Department of Health and Social Care is seeking to expand its pool of Second Opinion Appointed Doctors (SOADs). This is a unique role for qualified psychiatrists with significant senior experience. Applications close 31 October 2026.
SOADs are appointed to provide independent second opinions for treatment decisions under the Mental Health Act 1998. Interviews are conducted by the Mental Health Commission, with remuneration including travel and related expenses.
