We are looking for two Senior Planning Officers to join our dedicated team on the Isle of Man. This is an exciting time to be working in planning, with a caseload that ranges from householder applications to major infrastructure and regeneration projects. You will shape places and communities, and you’ll often see the impact of your work quickly. As planners in government, you will have a genuine opportunity to influence and help shape Island‑wide planning policy, including changes to Permitted Development and planning legislation. Your on‑the‑ground experience can directly inform how the planning system evolves.

What you will do

  • Work across varied application types, engaging directly with colleagues, politicians, decision‑makers and communities.
  • Provide professional judgement and collaborate naturally to deliver high‑quality planning outcomes.
  • Support the development and implementation of planning policy and legislation.
  • Represent the team in interactions with stakeholders and the public.
