About the role

Could you help ensure important public health programmes, research and regulatory responsibilities are delivered effectively?

Join Public Health as a Legislation and Regulation Compliance Officer and play an important role in:

  • supporting the work of the Isle of Man Research Ethics Committee (IOMREC), and act as a link between the IOMREC and key partners to ensure health and social care research is ethically reviewed, proportionate and carried out to agreed standards;
  • assisting in the administration of the licensing and regulatory processes required by -
  • the Period Products (Free Provision) Act 2026, in relation to the administration of the scheme required by that Act; and
  • the Human Tissue and Organ Donation Act 2021 in relation licensing the use and storage of human tissue on the Island;
  • supporting the Child Death Review Partnership (CDRP), and the associated functions of the CDRP as set out in the Children and Young Persons Act 2001, which will include work to identify any modifiable factors that may prevent unnecessary child death or harm.

You will be part of a supportive team, helping to prepare reports, analyse and process applications and supporting Public Health's statutory obligations.
