Could your legal expertise help shape the future of justice in the Isle of Man? Join our small and supportive team within the General Registry as a Legal Officer (Legal Research and Advice). This is a unique role that offers real variety, giving you the opportunity to work across a range of mainly non-criminal legal areas and gain broad experience.
In this role, you will undertake both ad hoc and more structured legal research for members of the judiciary and provide legal advice to the Chief Registrar and staff of the General Registry. You will also act as the primary Judicial Conduct Officer under the Code of Conduct for Members of the Judiciary and be responsible for the development, management and coordination of legal research activities and resources within the General Registry.
Justice provision in many jurisdictions is currently undergoing review and modernisation, and the Isle of Man is no exception. As a result, this is an exciting and opportune time to join us and play a role in shaping the future of the administration of justice on the Isle of Man.
