About the role
The Deputy Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) at St Ninian’s High School will work closely with the SENCo to lead areas of Complex and Additional Support, coordinate provision for students with additional learning needs, monitor progress and interventions, support colleagues, and drive inclusive practice across the school.
In this dual leadership and teaching role you will ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed and help shape whole‑school practice.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction and delivery of Complex and Additional Support services.
- Coordinate the provision of support for students with additional learning needs.
- Monitor student progress and the effectiveness of interventions.
- Support teachers and staff in implementing inclusive education strategies.
- Collaborate with external professionals and families to enhance student outcomes.
- Contribute to strategic decision‑making and share impact across a large inclusive school community.
