Administrative Officer - Government Laboratory in Douglas

Douglas Full-Time No working from home possible
Isle of Man Government

About the role

Could your organisation skills and attention to detail help support work that people across the Island rely on every day? As the Administrative Officer within the Government Laboratory, you'll be the first point of contact for Government departments, businesses and members of the public, playing a vital role in keeping an accredited laboratory service running smoothly. From managing enquiries and coordinating the receipt of samples to maintaining records, processing invoices and supporting the day-to-day operation of the Laboratory, you'll keep a fast-paced office running efficiently while balancing a variety of priorities each day.

Put your communication, judgement and problem‑solving abilities to use in a role where accuracy matters. Taking ownership of your workload, you'll work across multiple systems, coordinate with colleagues and external partners, and help uphold the standards that underpin the Laboratory's accredited status. Your ability to stay organised, adapt to changing priorities and make informed decisions will be valued in a role that offers responsibility, autonomy and the opportunity to contribute directly to the accuracy and efficiency of a laboratory service relied upon by Government, businesses and the public.
