The Marketing Executive will support the delivery of marketing and communications activity across Islands Energy Group and its operating brands: Isle of Man Energy, Guernsey Energy and Island Energy.
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting customer communications, digital channels, internal communications, events, campaigns, content creation, reporting and stakeholder engagement. The role will help ensure communications are timely, consistent and aligned with the Group’s brands, while increasing the capacity and resilience of the Marketing & Communications function.
Marketing Executive Responsibilities:
Marketing campaigns and commercial support
- Support the planning, coordination and delivery of customer marketing campaigns across the three islands.
- Assist with product and service launches, customer acquisition and retention activity, and sales campaigns.
- Coordinate campaign briefs, schedules, assets, approvals and distribution.
- Produce and maintain sales collateral, case studies and other commercial marketing materials.
Content and brand management
- Write, edit and proofread content for websites, email campaigns, social media, newsletters, customer communications and printed materials.
- Adapt content for different brands, audiences and local island contexts.
- Help maintain brand consistency across customer and employee touchpoints.
- Manage templates, imagery, marketing assets and shared content libraries.
Digital channels
- Maintain and update website content across the Group’s brands.
- Support website enhancement projects, customer journey improvements and digital self-service initiatives.
- Assist with email marketing and day-to-day social media content and scheduling.
- Monitor channel and campaign performance and contribute to regular reporting.
Events
- Support sponsorship activity, community initiatives, exhibitions, agricultural shows and business events.
- Coordinate event logistics, promotional materials and supplier requirements.
Reporting and administration
- Maintain content calendars, campaign plans, records and project trackers.
- Support budget tracking, purchase administration and supplier coordination.
- Gather customer, market and competitor insight to inform activity.
- Help evaluate campaigns and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Previous experience in a marketing, communications, content or digital role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong proofreading ability.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- Competence using Microsoft 365 applications.
- A proactive, practical approach and willingness to support a broad range of activities.
- A marketing, communications or related qualification, or working towards one.
- Experience using website content management systems and email marketing platforms.
- Experience managing or creating content for business social media channels.
- Basic design capability using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
- Experience using analytics and reporting tools.
- Experience working across multiple brands, locations or regulated markets.
