Overall job purpose: The postholder will have responsibility for strategic delivery, planning, financial management and co-ordination of the operational delivery of statutory building functions under the Building Act 1984, Building Regulations and associated legislation. To ensure that the Building Control team delivers a compliant, efficient and effective service in accordance with Building Control legislation, regulations, standards and Codes of Conduct. Take a lead role in the provision of professional advice to individuals, organisations and other Sections of the Authority in relation to Building Control legislation.
