At Isle Court Care Home we are looking for a hardworking team player who is passionate about developing a career in the social care industry as a Senior Care Assistant. You will be motivated and compassionate, with a genuine interest in benefitting the lives of those within our care.

You MUST hold Care Certificate and be willing to take NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care to qualify for this position.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Care Assistant you will be key to promoting the physical and emotional well-being of our residents in all aspects of their lives. As a valued member of our team, you will be involved in:

  • Providing physical and mental stimulation for residents by taking part in social and recreational activities, on a one-to-one and group basis
  • Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing
  • Assisting with mealtimes
  • Ensuring residents' independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care
  • Helping to maintain accurate records
  • Undertaking regular ongoing training
  • Developing relationships with our residents and their families in order to gain a better understanding of how to provide the best possible care
  • Reviews with external health professionals
  • Lead the team of care assistants
  • Administer medication
