About the Role
Islandbridge has a mandate to hire another Client Associate to work within the Family Office Team on key client relationships. The role is based in London’s West End. Islandbridge is differentiated by the strength of the Family Office Team and the Clients they work with.
Responsibilities
- Treasury & Payments
- Manage client treasury, including banking and custodian relationships, yield enhancement, FX purchases, liquidity monitoring and cash flow forecasting.
- Instruct payments in a secure, controlled environment, supporting approval requests, internal checklists, dual authorisations and weekly payment listings.
- Maintain liquidity models, including commitment and distribution forecasting, five-year cash flow reviews and scenario analysis.
- Reporting
- Prepare quarterly consolidated client reports across the full family balance sheet, bringing together investment portfolios, private assets, entities, cash, liabilities, commitments and key activity.
- Collate and verify statements, investment documentation, valuations and external data to support accurate, complete and timely reporting.
- Use systems such as Addepar to produce ownership views, asset allocation, performance and benchmark comparisons, holding structures, philanthropy updates and supporting schedules.
- Maintain reporting databases, accounting ledgers, client portals and key digital document records, including bank reconciliations, monthly expense tracking and budgeting using systems such as Xero.
- Investments
- Prepare investment subscriptions, redemptions and related compliance requirements.
- Coordinate investment administration, including pre-investment compliance, investment KYC, capital calls, distributions and ongoing documentation.
- Tax
- Gather, prepare and coordinate client tax data and documentation, including K-1s, 1099s, donation receipts, investment tax packs and other prescribed forms.
- Work closely with client tax advisers, coordinating information requests, tax calls and approved tax payment processes.
- Track and manage remitted versus unremitted funds, supporting clear records for cross-border tax planning and advisor review.
- Coordinate tax input on new investments, disposals, entity structuring and charitable giving strategies, helping ensure tax considerations are identified early and reflected in implementation.
- Projects & Other
- Assist with high-value client projects, including asset purchases, estate and succession planning, philanthropy, entity setup, carbon footprint analysis and offsetting.
- Support client entity administration, governance records, ongoing KYC/AML requirements and coordination with advisors.
- Assist with DAF and foundation administration, grant coordination, pre-grant compliance, board packs and related payments.
- Support financing matters, including mortgages, lines of credit, capital call facilities, debt repayment monitoring and covenant tracking.
Individual Attributes and Requirements
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience at a Big Four or similar firm, with a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent) preferred.
- Advanced Excel, Microsoft Office and digital literacy; experience with Xero, Addepar or similar platforms would be beneficial.
- Confident using AI and other digital tools to improve efficiency, support drafting and analysis, summarise information and enhance quality control, while exercising sound judgement, confidentiality and appropriate oversight.
- Highly numerate, commercially aware and interested in financial markets, macroeconomic developments and investment concepts including private equity, hedge funds, FX and interest rates.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a natural client-facing demeanour, strong ownership of correspondence and a commitment to delivering a consistently high-quality, detail-oriented client experience.
- Quick learner who is flexible, adaptable and able to move efficiently between tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Conscientious, reliable, hard-working and positive, with high energy, resilience and a willingness to get involved wherever needed.
