Location: Isle of Wight
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Salary: Dependent on experience

Island Windows is continuing to grow, and we're looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join our busy Service & Repair Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in the window and door industry who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service.

As one of our Service Engineers, you will be the face of the business, visiting customers' homes and commercial premises to carry out repairs, adjustments and remedial works on uPVC, aluminium and composite windows and doors. Your company vehicle will be fully stocked with the tools and commonly used parts required to complete the majority of repairs during your first visit.

Where a repair cannot be completed immediately, you will assess the work required, provide a quotation where appropriate, and ensure the customer fully understands the next steps. You'll work closely with our Service Manager to ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and that customers receive the highest level of service from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out repairs, servicing and remedial works on uPVC, aluminium and composite windows and doors.
  • Diagnose faults and provide effective repair solutions.
  • Prepare quotations for works that cannot be completed during the initial visit.
  • Ensure all paperwork, photographs and job information are completed accurately and returned promptly.
  • Liaise with the Service Manager regarding completed works, outstanding issues and parts required.
  • Clearly explain repairs and recommendations to customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and fully stocked company vehicle.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while representing Island Windows professionally at all times.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in window and door servicing, or
  • At least 5years' experience in window installation or manufacturing.
  • Excellent knowledge of uPVC, aluminium and composite windows and doors.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • A high standard of workmanship with excellent attention to detail.
  • A positive, reliable and self-motivated attitude.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A full Clean UK driving licence.
  • Applicants must be 25 years or over for company vehicle insurance purposes.
