Audit Senior Manager (Financial Services) – The British Virgin Islands
We are looking for audit senior managers with asset management experience interested in relocating to the British Virgin Islands. You would be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients including funds, trusts, insurance companies and other non-financial services companies, reporting directly to the partners/directors.
Please note that the job location is the British Virgin Islands and would be an on-site role on a 1.5-2 year minimum contract (promotions and pay raises can occur during the contract). A relocation and work permit package would be provided.
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing a client portfolio of audit engagements (mainly funds, trusts, insurance companies and non-financial services clients).
- Providing a quality, risk-focused review of audit work.
- Coaching and mentoring junior staff.
- Responsible for ensuring engagements are delivered on time and within budget, whilst ensuring the engagement file is completed to a high standard.
- Reviewing financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.
- Providing technical guidance to the team.
- Maintaining and building client relationships.
- Creating and delivering client presentations and proposals.
The requirements
- An internationally recognized professional qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA, CPA, CA(SA) etc).
- Minimum 7 years of relevant external audit experience with a Big Four/Top 10 firm from a large financial centre (UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, USA, Hong Kong, Cayman Islands etc).
- Deep expertise in financial services, particularly investment funds/asset management.
- A proactive leader with outstanding management, communication, and organizational skills.
