Overview
Audit Senior Associate (Cayman) at Island Paradise Recruitment. A top accountancy firm in Cayman is seeking an audit senior associate for its captive insurance practice. The successful applicant will work on a number of audit engagements, primarily in the captive insurance industry. The role reports to the firm’s managers, directors and partners, and requires professionalism in decision making and client/service provider interactions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute external audit engagements for clients in the captive insurance sector, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with engagement teams and senior management; communicate effectively with clients and service providers.
- Assist in planning, risk assessment, and strategy for audits; identify issues and propose solutions.
- Supervise and coach junior staff; review work papers and ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Support business development activities and maintain professional relationships with clients.
Qualifications
- A qualified or soon-to-be qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA, CA(SA), CRC, etc.).
- Have at least 3 years of external audit experience at the point of starting, ideally within a Big Four or Top 10 environment.
- Financial services experience (asset management or insurance) is not essential as training will be provided.
Compensation and Benefits
A competitive remuneration package (salary US$70,000–US$75,000, tax-free) commensurate with qualifications and experience, plus relocation and work permit package and a comprehensive medical scheme.
