In this role, you will support the design and assessment of large-scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects across the UK. You will play an important part in shaping projects from early-stage feasibility through to planning and delivery, working closely with colleagues across development, engineering and project management. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical analysis with collaborative problem-solving and is motivated to contribute directly to the energy transition.

- Carry out early-stage site assessments and feasibility analysis
- Undertake shading analysis and energy yield assessments using industry-standard software
- Support project teams with clear, accurate technical inputs and documentation
- Contribute to GIS-based analysis and mapping where required
You will bring:
- A degree (or equivalent experience) in engineering, renewable energy, geography or a related discipline
- Experience (typically around 2+ years, but flexible) in CAD design, ideally within renewables, infrastructure or the built environment
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D) — this is core to the role
- Ability to interpret technical data and translate it into clear, accurate visual outputs
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Experience with GIS software (or willingness to learn)
- Experience with PVCase or similar solar design tools
- Familiarity with PVSyst or other energy modelling software
- Understanding of solar PV and BESS technologies and system components
- Well organised and detail-focused, with a structured approach
- Analytical and inquisitive, with a practical problem-solving mindset
