Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is recruiting for the position of Philanthropy Manager to be based from its Waterloo Office, London. The organisation is currently operating to a hybrid working model. The purpose of the role is to lead and grow income from high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and major donors, managing and developing long-term, values-driven relationships in line with annually agreed targets and budgets. The postholder will oversee the cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of key supporters, manage a portfolio of high-value prospects, and line manage the Philanthropy Executive to ensure effective delivery of the major donor strategy.

Requirements and responsibilities
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in fundraising, marketing or relationship management
- In-depth understanding of major donor fundraising and philanthropy trends.
- Proven ability to secure five- and six-figure gifts from HNWIs.
- Strong relationship management, networking and influencing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Strategic and analytical thinker with ability to plan and deliver results.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and data-led decision-making (experience with Power BI an advantage).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Significant experience of working in major donor fundraising or equivalent income-generating roles.
- Experience of managing or mentoring staff.
- Demonstrable experience of achieving and exceeding income targets.
- Experience developing and implementing donor stewardship plans.
- Experience preparing tailored proposals and impact reports for donors.
- Experience in developing team strategies and monitoring performance.
