We are currently recruiting for a Regional Admin Support Officer (Scotland) to join our fundraising team and provide vital administrative and operational support to regional fundraising activities during key campaign periods, including Ramadan. Based within our Scotland region, this role offers an excellent opportunity to support a wide range of fundraising initiatives, events and volunteer activities while helping to maximise income and strengthen relationships within local communities.
As the Regional Admin Support Officer (Scotland), you will provide essential administrative and operational support to the regional fundraising team, ensuring fundraising activities are delivered efficiently and effectively. You will assist with donation processing, supporter communications, event coordination, volunteer management and income tracking, helping the team to achieve fundraising targets and objectives.
JOB PURPOSE:
- Providing day-to-day administrative support for regional fundraising activities, campaigns and events.
- Processing donations, tracking income and maintaining accurate records in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- Supporting the planning and delivery of community fundraising initiatives, events and collections across Scotland.
- Recruiting, coordinating and supporting volunteers to maximise engagement and fundraising impact.
- Managing supporter enquiries and assisting with pledge follow-ups, stewardship activities and regional communications.
- Coordinating fundraising resources, equipment and promotional materials to support successful campaign delivery.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
You will be a highly organised and proactive individual with strong administrative skills and a passion for supporting charitable fundraising activities. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and building positive relationships with supporters, volunteers and colleagues.
- Experience working in an administrative role.
- Experience maintaining electronic and paper-based administrative, financial and information systems.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a busy environment.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Good numeracy skills, with experience recording and processing financial information.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Scottish community landscape and local region.
- Experience dealing with enquiries via telephone, email and social media.
- Ability to support the planning and delivery of fundraising events and activities.
- Experience working with volunteers or within a volunteer-led environment.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with supporters, volunteers and stakeholders.
- Confidence representing Islamic Relief in a variety of settings and situations.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter) and Snapchat.
- Understanding of working within policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
