Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is a faith-based humanitarian relief and development organisation working to save and transform the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Established in 1984, with an active presence in over 45 countries, we strive to make the world a better and fairer place for those affected by poverty, conflict and natural disasters.
IRW’s People & Culture Division is recruiting for the position of Talent Acquisition Partner to its dynamic team, based out of its offices in Birmingham, UK. The organisation currently operates to a hybrid working model.
Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, the Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, proactively sourcing and attracting global top-tier talent across multiple channels, and maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers, networks, agencies and candidates. The role holder will support employer branding, data management, and recruitment analytics, ensuring all activity aligns with the IRW Recruitment Policy and contributes to wider divisional objectives.
The successful candidate must have:
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent qualification. Significant relevant recruitment experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualification.
- Significant in‑house recruitment experience, ideally within a large or complex organisation, with a proven track record of managing end‑to‑end hiring processes and engaging effectively with hiring managers, candidates, and external partners.
- Prior experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with a proven record of sourcing and hiring top talent.
- Solid knowledge and experience with LinkedIn recruiter, job boards and Boolean searches.
- Ability to prioritise and work efficiently under pressure and subject to changing priorities; proven experience of managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines and using judgment and initiative in problem resolution, and attention to detail to ensure high quality in one’s work.
- Proven track record of providing high‑quality service delivery, continuous improvement, effective performance, and service development.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and English (written and spoken) skills and proven ability to record information accurately.
- Able to work on own initiative with awareness of boundaries, escalating issues in a timely manner.
- Data protection awareness and GDPR compliance.
- Excellent levels of computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications and proficiency with applicant tracking systems, recruitment software and HR Systems.
