Islam Channel, a leading UK broadcaster serving the Muslim community, is seeking a Digital Producer and Editor for a full-time permanent position at their East London headquarters.
Role Overview:
You will create high-quality original video content for the channel's website and social media platforms, working across the entire production pipeline from conceptualization to final delivery. This role combines journalism with technical media production in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce, source, and edit video content using Adobe Premiere and Creative Cloud tools
- Manage rapid turnarounds to align with news cycles
- Identify, verify, and license video clips while managing copyright permissions
- Publish content to CMS platforms with appropriate metadata and tags
- Participate in daily editorial meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Conduct and film interviews with contributors and guests
- Monitor social media analytics and report insights to management
- Ensure editorial approval before all content goes live
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in video or media production and post-production
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and After Effects (portfolio required)
- NCTJ qualification or equivalent experience with a major online publication
- Experience filming with various camera types
- Knowledge of project management software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom
