Salary: £45,200 - £58,000

Location: United Kingdom - Remote

We are a hybrid team, based throughout the UK. We offer the flexibility to work outside of the UK up to 90 days per year; however, you must be able to work and live permanently within the UK, and travel to London at least 4 times a year for team meeting sessions and additionally as needed.

The role

We're looking for a mid-level Product Designer to join our growing design team and help shape the next stage of Isla's product experience. Reporting to our Product Design Lead and partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and our Clinical Safety Officer, you'll play a key role in improving UX and UI across our product.

What you'll do

  • Design complex clinical and patient-facing experiences end-to-end, from flows and wireframes through to polished UI and implementation-ready designs.
  • Ensure user needs are represented throughout the product development process, from early discovery and problem definition through to delivery and iteration.
  • Influence our approach to AI - explore and experiment with AI tools within the design workflow, helping identify practical ways they can improve speed, quality and collaboration.
  • Work closely with our Engineers to drive forward our design system, ensuring it is usable, accessible, and AI-ready.
  • Improve UX quality across the platform - proactively identify friction, inconsistencies, and opportunities to simplify workflows and improve the overall user experience.
  • Strong end-to-end product design skills, with a focus on design systems and UI.
  • Systems thinking - understanding how changes in one area can impact others across a complex, multi-user product.
  • Experience working with Engineers and AI tools to build and maintain design systems.
  • Expertise in accessibility and inclusive design.

Hiring Process

Interviewing with us for this role will be split into 4 stages (all conducted virtually):

  • Video interview - Successful applicants will be invited to send a short elevator pitch. We want to see the person behind the CV!
  • Screening call with one of our Ops team - 15 minutes.
  • Interview with our Product Design Lead (Rich) and Senior Software Engineer - 45 minutes.
  • A final interview with our Director of Product (Lara) and CTO/Co-founder (James) - 30 minutes.
