We're working with a mission-led ClimateTech company that is creating innovative solutions to some of the UK's biggest sustainability challenges. Operating at the intersection of technology, sustainability, and the built environment, the business has already established a strong position within its core market and is now investing in a new strategic growth channel. As part of that journey, they're looking for a Senior Partnerships Manager to help build relationships, open new routes to market, and create long-term commercial opportunities across a complex stakeholder landscape.
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to join a growing business at a pivotal stage. The role sits somewhere between business development and strategic partnerships. You'll be responsible for creating commercial opportunities in the short term, whilst building the relationships and routes to market that will support growth over the coming years. Initially, the role will be heavily focused on market development. You'll be opening doors, engaging key stakeholders, navigating complex buying environments, and helping establish a repeatable approach to a relatively untapped channel. Over time, the role will evolve into a broader strategic partnerships position as the channel matures and grows. You'll work closely with senior leadership and have significant autonomy to influence both strategy and execution.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building relationships across public-sector, commercial, and partner ecosystems
- Developing strategic partnerships that create long-term routes to market
- Identifying and generating new commercial opportunities
- Supporting inclusion within relevant procurement and purchasing frameworks
- Managing opportunities from initial engagement through to commercial agreement
- Representing the business at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Gathering market intelligence and helping shape future commercial strategy
- Working closely with senior leadership to build a scalable growth playbook
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 12 months, you'll have:
- Built strong relationships across a key strategic market
- Established a credible network of stakeholders and influencers
- Created a healthy pipeline of opportunities
- Helped strengthen access to important routes to market
- Generated meaningful commercial outcomes whilst laying foundations for future growth
What We're Looking For
We're interested in people who combine commercial drive with exceptional relationship-building skills. You'll likely bring experience in:
- Selling into or working alongside public-sector organisations
- Working within framework-based procurement environments
- Managing long and complex sales cycles
- Influencing multiple stakeholders and decision-makers
- Developing new markets, channels, or routes to revenue
Experience within the built environment, sustainability, infrastructure, housing, energy, or adjacent sectors would be highly beneficial, but we're open to people who can demonstrate transferable experience and a strong track record of opening new markets. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is commercially minded, relationship-driven, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy.
Why Join?
- Opportunity to build and shape a strategic growth channel
- Significant exposure to senior leadership
- High level of ownership and autonomy
- Mission-led business tackling meaningful sustainability challenges
- Hybrid working environment
- Competitive salary and bonus structure
- Genuine opportunity to influence the future direction of the business
If you're excited by the challenge of opening new markets, building meaningful partnerships, and helping a growing ClimateTech business scale, we'd love to hear from you.
