Senior Python Developer – Build Scalable Solutions with Cutting-Edge Tech!

Location: Devon (this is not a remote role and will require twice per week visit to the office)

Salary: up to £70,000

We’re on the hunt for a highly skilled Python Developer to play a key role in modernizing and optimizing our telematics applications. You’ll be designing and implementing scalable cloud solutions, integrating AWS services, and working on real-time data processing at scale.

What You\’ll Be Doing:

✅ Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, real-time telematics applications

✅ Optimizing code for low latency and high throughput to handle large-scale vehicle data

✅ Using AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and RDS

✅ Implementing containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures

✅ Ensuring secure data transmission and storage aligned with industry best practices

✅ Monitoring performance with AWS tools like CloudWatch and X-Ray

✅ Collaborating with data engineers, DevOps, and product teams to drive innovation

What We’re Looking For:

✔ Expert Python developer with experience in high-performance systems

✔ Strong background in scalable and efficient software design

✔ Experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Aurora, Kinesis, etc.)

✔ Skilled in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)

✔ Strong knowledge of Git, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), and CI/CD practices

✔ Familiarity with ETL processes, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and Agile methodologies

Bonus points if you have experience with Java, C++, or MS Azure data warehousing!
