ClimateTech

Want to build secure, scalable infrastructure while working on meaningful climate tech? At Bohr, the platforms you support help reduce methane emissions across Europe’s gas networks!

The Company

Bohr exists to decarbonise energy through innovation. Through their methane emissions division, Tectrac, they combine mobile leak detection technology with cloud platforms, analytics, and GIS-led insight. Their systems help utilities detect, prioritise, and repair methane leaks faster, cutting emissions and improving safety across the UK and Europe.

The Role

We’re looking for a Dev(Sec)Ops Engineer to take ownership of their cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and security practices across their digital platforms. You’ll work closely with engineers to ensure systems are reliable, scalable, and secure by design. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and embedding security best practices across the development lifecycle. You’ll also play a key role in improving observability, automating processes, and supporting the team in maintaining high standards across performance, compliance, and resilience.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE roles
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or OpenTofu)
  • Cloud experience (Azure preferred, others considered)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions)
  • Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
  • Experience with automation and scripting
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tooling
  • Experience working with external vendors or third-party tools
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset

Desirable:

  • Experience with security/compliance tooling (e.g. Vanta)
  • Experience implementing security controls in cloud environments
  • Familiarity with containers or orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Exposure to startup or scale-up environments
  • Interest in DevSecOps practices and continuous improvement

Why Join Bohr?

At Bohr, you won’t be working on abstract systems. The infrastructure and platforms you help build directly support methane reduction, network safety, and net zero goals across Europe.

You’ll also get:

  • Hybrid working with flexibility, based in our Bristol office
  • Salary up to £70,000 (BOE)
  • Pension contributions
  • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
  • Participation in our EMI share scheme

If you’re a DevOps engineer looking to step into a more security-focused role in an impact-driven environment, this is a great opportunity to do exactly that.
