Help Define the Future of Water Infrastructure. Water scarcity is becoming one of the defining challenges of the coming decades. At Ahbstra, we're building technology designed to change how water is produced, distributed and accessed around the world. Over the last six years, we've developed proprietary atmospheric water generation technology using Nobel winning Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs), enabling water to be generated directly from air. Having successfully developed and tested our technology, we're now entering the next phase of our journey – moving from R&D and product development into commercialisation. We're looking for our first Chief Commercial Officer to help shape what happens next.
This Is Not A Traditional CCO Role. We're not looking for someone to inherit a sales team, optimise a funnel or deliver quarterly revenue targets. We're looking for someone who wants to help define a market. Someone who is excited by questions such as:
- Which markets should prioritise?
- What commercial models will work best?
- Which partnerships will accelerate adoption?
- What does product‑market fit look like in an entirely new category?
- How do we turn breakthrough technology into a scalable global business?
This is a role for someone who enjoys building rather than managing.
What Success Looks Like. Over the next 18–24 months, you'll help Ahbstra:
- Validate priority markets and customer segments
- Build strategic partnerships and routes to market
- Generate customer and market insight that shapes future products
- Create commercial evidence to support future growth and fundraising
- Establish the foundations of a scalable commercial function
What We're Looking For. You’ll likely bring experience in several of the following:
- Commercialising deep‑tech, hardware or infrastructure‑based products
- Building new markets rather than inheriting established ones
- Partnership‑led growth and complex stakeholder environments
- Designing commercial models, pricing strategies and routes to market
- Working closely with founders and leadership teams
More important than any specific sector background is your ability to operate in ambiguity, make informed decisions with incomplete information and help shape a business that is still defining its path to scale.
Why Join Ahbstra? This is an opportunity to:
- Help solve one of the world's biggest challenges
- Shape the commercial direction of a category‑defining technology
- Influence product strategy as well as commercial strategy
- Work directly with the Founder and leadership team
- Play a significant role in the future growth of the business
- Participate in the long‑term value creation of the company through equity
Location: Regular presence in our London office. International travel expected across Europe, the Middle East and North America.
Salary & Equity. Alongside the opportunity to commercialise breakthrough atmospheric water generation technology and help shape the future of the business, you’ll receive a base salary of £120,000–£150,000 plus meaningful equity participation, allowing you to share in the long‑term value you help create.
If you’re excited by the challenge of creating a market rather than simply selling into one, we’d love to hear from you!
