We're growing and want you to be a part of our journey. Isio is looking to appoint an experienced Pensions professional to join our Operational Solutions (OS) Team, where we are at the forefront of enabling pensions schemes to deliver the best outcomes for members. Working with some of the largest and most complex schemes in the country, we support schemes to deliver their strategic goals by undertaking reviews of pension scheme data, benefit calculations, and processes and controls. We are focused on delivering solutions and positive outcomes to our clients and their members.
The OS team has enjoyed significant growth in the last few years, delivering a range of interesting projects across a diverse range of clients, including:
- Insurer-side due diligence
- Large-scale data and benefit rectification exercises
- Insurance readiness on data, benefits and administration records
- Reviewing operating models of large pension schemes
- Delivering data elements of large GMPE exercises where we act as third-party provider
In recent years our clients have included large high-street banks, BPA insurers, universities and other very large pension schemes. As part of this role, you'll be working in Isio's Actuarial & Consulting team – over 400 pensions consultants and actuaries advising a diverse range of clients and stakeholders across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. We advise on everything from helping trustees and sponsors to manage their defined benefit plans, running large scale communications projects, and implementing alternative reward and pension provision. The range of work we get involved with is vast and there'll be opportunities for you to gain lots of great, new experiences and put your skills to the test.
Colleagues in this team are based nationwide and this role can be aligned to any of our offices in Bristol, Birmingham, London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Scotland, Belfast, Leeds, Croydon or Reading in a hybrid work style.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Drive forward new business activities, build relationships with potential clients, produce tender submissions and lead pitches.
- Use an existing relationship network with independent trustees and other key stakeholders to develop new opportunities.
- Lead client relationships with a wide range of clients in terms of size and complexity, offering expert guidance on supporting clients' complex strategic challenges.
- Proposition development: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to shape service delivery models to support the continued success of the OS business. Be willing to raise new ideas internally and challenge thinking to ensure our work is robust and joined-up across multiple specialist teams.
- Support the development of our team members through coaching and mentoring, across our nationwide team, including performance management responsibilities.
Experience:
- A track record of winning and leading clients engaging in operational, data and benefit rectification projects.
- A creative mindset with the appetite to drive forward innovative thinking on product and strategic development.
- Proven network of relationships with independent trustees and pension schemes.
- Business development experience and a commercial mindset with evidenced experience of growing client revenue.
- Extensive leadership skills – leading or being part of a leadership team for a group of people covering their learning & development and building a supportive and inclusive culture.
- The ability and willingness to take on a high level of responsibility and work effectively in a team.
