This role holds end-to-end accountability for the performance, governance, and financial control of Isio’s GMPe programme and ensures workstreams deliver measurable outcomes, benefits are realised, and leadership has clear visibility of progress, risks, and investment impact.

This role will work closely with the Programme Director to ensure that it delivers the intended outcomes.

Location – This role would be preferably based in our London office but our GMPe team are located nationwide, therefore we are also able to consider those who may be based in our Reading, Croydon, Bristol or Birmingham office. Hybrid working 2-3 days per week on site.

Term – 12 month FTC starting asap

Role and Responsibilities

  • Programme Oversight: Ensure all workstreams within the programme are delivered on‑time, within scope and within budget. Monitor status of projects, identify any potential issues and implement solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders. This includes providing regular updates, resolving any issues proactively, and managing expectations effectively.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budget allocation and expense tracking for all workstreams in the programme. This includes driving cost‑saving initiatives and achieving optimal return on investment from project budgets.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance practices. Ensure all PMO processes and project outcomes meet the highest standards of quality and comply with company standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communication: Facilitate clear, timely, and effective internal and external communications regarding project statuses, results, and changes. This includes creating and implementing communication standards and guidelines for the PMO.
  • Resource Management: Plan and manage resources effectively to ensure that staff and other resources are adequately allocated to meet project demands.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in leading PMO or portfolio functions within a professional services, consulting, or financial services environment.
  • Strong track record of accountability for delivery governance, financial control, and benefits management.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge constructively at all levels.
  • Experience in implementing or maturing PMO frameworks, including KPI reporting, prioritisation, and resource management.
  • Sound financial acumen, including budget ownership, capitalisation, and processes.
  • Skilled at developing teams and fostering a culture of responsibility and ownership.
  • Professional project or portfolio management qualification (PRINCE2, MSP, Change Management).
  • Accountable: Takes full ownership of outcomes, not just processes — ensures commitments are delivered.
  • Strategic yet hands‑on: Balances long‑term portfolio governance with operational delivery leadership.
  • Influential: Builds trust and confidence across senior stakeholders through credibility and transparency.
  • Analytical: Uses data and insight to drive decision‑making and performance management.
  • Continuous improvement mindset: Seeks ways to strengthen governance, simplify processes, and enhance delivery performance.
