We are looking for experienced Business Analysts who can lead and run projects in a flexible and adaptive way to deliver the best results for the business. As a team, we are delivering across the business on small, medium, and large-scale projects. The roadmap consists of a range of different projects from customer-facing systems, core internal systems to strategic decision analysis. The ambition is to transform the business and adapt the latest technology to effectively deliver the best outcomes for our clients and members.
To achieve this, our team focuses on close collaboration with stakeholders from the business, technology, and external suppliers to understand – and challenge – the core business requirements to ensure the best outcome for any project. The role will likely be visible to, and involve working with, all levels of the business – from Partners to frontline operational teams.
Our roles are varied and extend beyond the fundamentals of the core BA – into guidance and helping the business in ownership of delivery. As a result, the team may often work with the business and product owners to challenge, highlight, and determine key decisions – and so are key to the success and final outcomes of a project.
Responsibilities:- Evaluating and documenting business processes.
- Eliciting and documenting requirements and user stories.
- Seeking creative ways to solve UX problems.
- Developing wireframes and prototypes to meet business needs.
- Writing specifications.
- Clearly communicating design and changes to business stakeholders, technical teams, and management.
- Engaging throughout the full SDLC.
- Conducting user acceptance testing.
- Acting as a liaison between stakeholders, users, and technical teams to ensure effective adoption of any new system or process.
- Identifying new opportunities for improvement.
- Analysing options to identify the best fit for the business need.
- Developing business cases.
- Organising and running meetings and presentations with stakeholders in all areas of the business to gather and share information.
- Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernise systems.
- Providing leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staff.
- Experience delivering projects of various size and types as a business analyst.
- Comfortable with managing stakeholders of all kinds to influence and determine acceptable solutions.
- Able to define clarity out of ambiguity – always seeking the underlying “why” – or rationale.
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Visio, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
- Experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
The BA team operate across all 10 of Isio's nationwide offices. The majority of the team are based in either Edinburgh, Birmingham or London working hybrid 2-3 days per week in the office. Whilst being based in one of these 3 offices would be beneficial, we are open to considering candidates in any of our office locations in a hybrid workstyle.
