Working within Isio’s Actuarial & Consulting team, part of a 400‑strong workforce advising diverse clients, this role focuses on post‑transaction specialist work in the Risk Settlement team.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing delivery on a variety of pension schemes from buy‑in through to buy‑out and wind‑up.
  • Using project‑management skills to support clients efficiently navigating the journey to wind‑up, collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Building relationships with clients, prospective clients, advisers and the wider risk‑settlement team to ensure smooth progress of projects.
  • Working on technical aspects of projects, including direct client interaction, team collaboration, and developing others.
  • Assisting in new business development with existing and new clients (proposal and pitch support).
  • Supporting development of best practice in post‑transaction delivery, documentation and training.

Technical Aspects of the Role

  • Understanding the pensions insurance industry and building relationships with insurers.
  • Understanding the processes required for a scheme to buyout and wind‑up.
  • Supporting clients in post‑transaction processes through to wind‑up.
  • Producing clear and concise documents, emails and presentations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Relevant post‑transaction risk settlement industry experience.
  • Excellent UK pensions knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements for pension scheme wind‑ups.
  • Strong communication skills – ability to explain complex problems simply and lead stakeholder meetings.
  • Enthusiasm and motivation to solve problems and deliver excellent outcomes.
  • Excellent project‑management and client‑delivery skills – especially when balancing multiple complex projects.
  • Commercial acumen to develop business and identify new opportunities.
  • Qualifications – an actuarial qualification or Pension Management Institute qualification is beneficial but not essential.
