We’re growing and want you to be a part of our journey. This role is hybrid 2-3 days in the office each week and can be based in any of our regional offices (with the exception of London). Supporting the Head of Strategy Execution in delivering a firmwide operations programme, the PMO Analyst ensures robust project governance, controls, and reporting to drive efficient delivery of firmwide initiatives. This role focuses on coordinating project planning, maintaining documentation, managing RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and producing actionable insights for senior stakeholders. The PMO Analyst acts as a central point of integration across teams, ensuring alignment with Isio’s strategic priorities while fostering operational excellence and compliance.
Core Priorities
- Project Governance & Delivery Support: Ensure effective planning, tracking, and reporting for a defined firmwide operational programme, including planning, governance, and progress tracking.
- Operational Process Alignment: Support the implementation of the Target Operating Model through clear controls and cross‑functional coordination.
- Performance Measurement: Support the development and embedding of a consistent set of operational KPIs.
Role and Responsibilities
- Project Governance & Reporting: Maintain project documentation (e.g., plans, status reports, budgets) and ensure adherence to governance frameworks. Schedule meetings, track milestones, and coordinate resources across cross‑functional teams (e.g., IT, Risk, Finance). Prepare concise progress updates, dashboards, and MI for senior leadership (ExCo/Board), highlighting risks, financial status, and resourcing challenges. Organise and facilitate project/programme governance sessions, ensuring compliance with Isio’s reporting standards.
- Operational Controls & Process Alignment: Support the refinement of the firm’s Target Operating Model by clarifying roles, responsibilities, and interfaces between teams. Work with stakeholders to align operational processes, controls, and reporting across service lines and central functions. Embed project standards into business‑as‑usual activities while maintaining client delivery continuity.
- Performance Measurement & MI: Develop and maintain a KPI framework to track project performance against strategic goals. Create executive‑level dashboards using Power BI/Excel to monitor progress and enable proactive decision‑making. Track budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to ensure cost‑effective delivery.
- RAID Management: Drive early identification and resolution of project risks, issues, and assumptions. Maintain RAID logs and ensure alignment with Isio’s risk management standards. Support audits and quality assurance processes to mitigate operational risks.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between project managers, delivery teams, and senior stakeholders. Draft clear meeting minutes, action logs, and status reports to ensure accountability. Manage dependencies and escalations across workstreams to maintain project momentum.
Key Skills & Experience required
- Experience in a PMO or project support role in financial services, consulting, or regulated sectors.
- Proven ability to manage project documentation, RAID processes, and governance frameworks.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards (e.g., FCA/PRA) and operational risk management.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, and Confluence for task tracking and collaboration.
- Advanced Excel/Power BI skills for dashboard creation and data analysis.
- Strong organisational, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to balance day‑to‑day project delivery with long‑term process improvements.
- Self‑motivated with a focus on driving efficiency and accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Relevant professional qualifications desirable (e.g., PMP/PRINCE2, Lean, or similar).
