As part of this role you’ll be working in Isio’s Actuarial & Consulting team – over 400 pensions experts – actuaries and consultants advising a diverse range of clients and stakeholders across the private, public and not‑for‑profit sectors. We advise on everything from helping trustees and sponsors to manage their defined benefit plans, running large scale communications projects and implementing alternative reward and pension provision. The range of work we get involved with is vast and there’ll be opportunities for you to gain lots of great, new experiences, focus on working towards specialising in particular roles and put your skills to the test.
The GMP Reconciliation & Rectification Manager oversees the overall process for reviewing, correcting, and improving GMP records. The role leads the team, manages key deliverables, and supports the development of tools and systems that enhance efficiency and quality across the reconciliation and rectification workflow.
This role will be part of our Belfast team within A&C. We work on a hybrid basis, offering the opportunity for colleagues to split their working time between working in the office, at client sites and at home. Role and Responsibilities- Manage the full lifecycle of GMP reconciliation projects for defined benefit (DB) pension clients, including scoping, planning, execution, and delivery.
- Oversee data validation, discrepancy resolution, and alignment of scheme records with HMRC data.
- Provide technical oversight for complex GMP reconciliation tasks.
- Design and implement strategies for bulk data remediation, ensuring accuracy in GMP records for schemes with legacy administration systems.
- Act as the primary point of contact for trustees, third‑party administrators, and legal advisors on GMP reconciliation issues.
- Deliver comprehensive reports to clients, including reconciliation outcomes and rectification plans.
- Identify opportunities to expand GMP advisory services, contributing to proposals and pitches for new clients.
- Technical experience – You will likely have either a pensions administration or pensions actuarial background with a deep technical understanding of GMP reconciliation, rectification and equalisation processes.
- Qualifications – Whilst not essential, you currently pursuing FIA/FFA or PMI or equivalent qualifications and Isio are happy to provide the relevant study support for your chosen path.
- Relevant Industry experience – you will have demonstrable experience working previously in a DB pensions consultancy environment or similar.
- Project Management experience – Evidenced experience managing budgets, timelines, and resources for multi‑stakeholder projects.
