ISHPI is seeking a Lead Applications Developer SME (on-site) to support the Command and Control (C2) Afloat Integration Support (C2AIS) for the U.S. Coast Guard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) in Portsmouth, VA. This role will manage the supported systems of the C5ISC and provides services to include system engineering, software engineering, hardware engineering, network engineering, test engineering, electronic engineering, and technical writing.
Provides advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and training. Provides implementation advice on complex problems that require expert level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. From a computer systems standpoint, participates as needed in all phases of software and hardware development with emphasis on the planning, analysis, testing, integration, documentation, training, and presentation phases.
From a business process standpoint, provides technical advice, guidance and direction for the improvement, modification, and re-engineering of business processes, policies and procedures for any functional area under consideration or review. Applies principles, methods, and knowledge of specific functional areas of expertise to specific programs. Directs the composition of, or composes and finalizes documentation.
Education and Experience: Four-year Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited University in the field of Business, Law, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering with ten (10) years of C4IT systems engineering experience, or Master’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics with eight (8) years of C4IT system engineering experience.
Clearance: Requires an active DoD security clearance and must be a U.S. citizen.
