ISHPI is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator (on-site) to support the Command and Control (C2 AIS) for the U.S. Coast Guard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) in Portsmouth, VA. This role will manage the supported systems of the C5ISC and provides services to include system engineering, software engineering, hardware engineering, network engineering, test engineering, electronic engineering, and technical writing.
Responsibilities
- Installs and maintains operating and systems software;
- Manages systems configuration;
- Monitors compliance with system standards;
- Evaluates software and/or hardware;
- Administers and maintains user accounts and profiles;
- Performs operating system troubleshooting;
- May oversee and coordinate system administration activities across multiple systems.
Education and Experience
Baccalaureate Degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, or Network Engineering and a minimum of six (6) years of system administration experience is required; or certificate from an accredited Community or Technical College in System Administration and eight (8) years of system administration experience is required. Successful completion of additional training in one or more leading network operating systems, equipment, and protocols.
Preferred Skills
- PKI, Zero Trust Strategy, RHEL/Windows OS Hardening Certification
- Current DoD 8570/8170 IAT Level II (i.e. Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH, CySA+, or CASP+/SecurityX).
- Additional specific information assurance certification requirements may be required.
Security Clearance
Requires U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD government security clearance.
