ISHPI is seeking a Sr. Database Administrator – DBA (on-site) to support the Command and Control (C2) Afloat Integration Support (C2AIS) for the U.S. Coast Guard Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC) in Portsmouth, VA. This role will manage the supported systems of the C5ISC and provide services to include system engineering, software engineering, hardware engineering, network engineering, test engineering, electronic engineering, and technical writing.

Responsibilities

  • Administers and controls data resources;
  • Implementation of data dictionaries; data security and integrity;
  • Performance of database backups;
  • Use of data modeling techniques to analyze and specify data requirements and structures;
  • Definition of logical and physical data views;
  • Tuning database performance.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma and certificate from an accredited community or technical college in database administration, Oracle database certificate, or Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) certificate. Minimum of eight (8) years of database administration experience is required.
  • Certification: Current DoD 8570/8170 IAT Level II (i.e. Security+, CISSP, CISM, CEH, CySA+, or CASP+/SecurityX).
  • Security Clearance: Requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD government security clearance.
