About the Role: We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to join our finance team within an international manufacturing group based in London. The role focuses on end-to-end accounting tasks, financial reporting, and supporting budgeting activities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Drive the month-end close process: journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Support year-end statutory and group reporting requirements
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts
- Liaise with auditors and provide necessary documentation for internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and company policies
- Work collaboratively with operations, procurement, and supply chain functions to resolve accounting queries
- Support process improvements and implementation of best accounting practices
Qualifications & Experience
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or finalist)
- 4β8 years accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial business
- Strong knowledge of management reporting, reconciliations, and financial controls
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication skills and a proactive mindset
