As Aviagen continues to strengthen its data, reporting, and decision-support capabilities to enable smarter commercial, operational, technical, and financial decisions, we are now seeking an experienced and business-oriented TMEA Business Intelligence Team Leader to lead the development of reliable, system-driven data and analytics across the region. This role will be responsible for consolidating fragmented data sources, improving reporting quality, developing management dashboards, and transforming complex commercial, operational, technical, and financial information into actionable insights for regional and global leadership.

The successful candidate will combine strong BI expertise with business acumen, stakeholder management skills, and a hands-on leadership approach. Key Responsibilities:

  • BI Strategy, Leadership & Governance
    • Lead the regional Business Intelligence strategy in line with Aviagen's TMEA business priorities.
    • Establish BI standards, reporting principles, data governance rules, and best practices across the region.
    • Coordinate with regional stakeholders, Global BI, IT, and business functions.
    • Identify BI capability gaps and drive improvements in reporting, analytics, systems usage, and data quality.
    • Promote a stronger data-driven culture across regular management and decision-making processes.
  • Reporting, Dashboards & Analytics Delivery
    • Review existing reports, data sources, dashboards, and reporting practices across the region.
    • Consolidate fragmented reporting and reduce duplication, manual work, and inconsistent outputs.
    • Develop reliable dashboards, KPIs, and analytical reports for business performance monitoring.
    • Provide insights on sales, pricing, forecasting, product performance, profitability, customer performance, collections, market data, and operational trends.
    • Deliver proactive analysis to identify risks, opportunities, trends, performance gaps, and improvement areas.
    • Support advanced analytics, automation, and future AI-enabled reporting opportunities where relevant.
  • Business Partnering & Decision Support
    • Work closely with Commercial, Technical, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Planning, and Management teams.
    • Understand business priorities, decision-making needs, and operational challenges.
    • Translate business questions into meaningful data, dashboards, reports, and actionable insights.
    • Support decisions on market development, product performance, customer profitability, pricing, forecasting, and investment opportunities.
    • Ensure BI outputs are practical, business-relevant, and clear for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Provide analytical support for business reviews, planning processes, and performance discussions.
  • Data Quality, Systems & Process Improvement
    • Improve the reliability, accessibility, consistency, and usability of commercial, technical, operational, and financial data.
    • Support the integration and alignment of data from Aviagen systems and other relevant business platforms.
    • Work with Global BI, IT, and regional teams to improve system adoption, reporting tools, and data collection processes.
    • Develop data collection protocols for accurate, consistent, and timely data entry.
    • Improve the volume, quality, and consistency of data collected from markets, customers, and internal functions.
    • Coordinate the implementation and improvement of Aviagen systems and software in regional entities where required.
  • Team Leadership & Capability Development
    • Lead, manage, coach, and develop the regional BI/data team.
    • Set clear priorities, responsibilities, performance expectations, and delivery standards.
    • Ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality BI outputs aligned with business needs.
    • Develop the team's technical, analytical, and business partnering capabilities.
    • Encourage a proactive, solution-oriented, and service-minded BI function.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Reporting, or a similar data-driven role.
  • Proven experience in leading BI, analytics, or data teams.
  • Strong command of BI tools such as Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with SQL, data modelling, dashboard development, reporting automation, and analytics tools.
  • Strong commercial, financial, and operational understanding, with the ability to translate data into business insights.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic, proactive, systems-driven, and highly attentive to data accuracy and quality.
  • Experience in poultry, animal nutrition, agribusiness, food production, FMCG, pharma, or other data-rich commercial/operational environments would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a regional or international matrix environment is highly desirable.
  • Fluent English is required; additional regional languages would be an asset.
  • Location is flexible within TMEA or Europe, with occasional travel as required.
