Overview
In this Senior Accountant role, you will own end-to-end accounting processes within an international manufacturing group in London. You will drive accurate financial reporting, support budgeting, and ensure compliance with UK standards while partnering with operations and procurement. Your work enables robust month-end close, audit readiness, and informed decision-making across the business. This role offers impact through improving accounting practices and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Lead the month-end close cycle with journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Support year-end statutory and group reporting requirements
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts
- Liaise with auditors and provide documentation for internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and company policies
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, and supply chain to resolve accounting queries
- Support process improvements and implementation of best accounting practices
Key requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or finalist)
- 4β8 years accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial business
- Strong knowledge of management reporting, reconciliations, and financial controls
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
